Lions Clubs from Mundelein, Vernon Hills and Libertyville met for their Annual Tri-Club Meeting on February 24th, 2010.  The meeting included a buffet dinner and a guest speaker from Abbott Labs.  It was held at the Vernon Hills Golf Course clubhouse.

A total of 39 attendees enjoyed socializing, a delicious buffet dinner, updates on each club’s activities as well as an update on the National Health Care debate from Carol O’Brien, Sr. Policy Manager, Strategic Health Policy, Pharmaceutical Products Division at Abbott Labs.  This happened to be on the eve of the summit called by President Obama and Carol provided insight to the upcoming televised meeting.  Carol addressed questions from club members and suggested they pay close attention to the developments.

District Governor Lion Bill Jordan attended and addressed the group to congratulate them on their accomplishments and to encourage the clubs to do more to aid the hearing and visually impaired of the local communities and state.  The Governor offered his assistance when called upon.  Many Lion Zone Chairpersons were in attendance as well as Past District Governors.

The meeting adjourned to greet about six inches of snow that had fallen during the event.  All got home safely.
